Slow, on purpose
We build in margin — extra nights in a single town, unscheduled afternoons, meals that last. The point of travel is presence, not coverage, and the best discoveries always live in the gaps between plans.
From a small studio in Senigallia to the farthest corners of the world — we design travel for curious souls who want the road less travelled, told well.
Organ Senigallia began in a small room overlooking the Adriatic, where our founder, after a decade of guiding small groups through Morocco, Patagonia and the Silk Road, started writing itineraries for friends who wanted something more considered than a package holiday. Word travelled, the requests grew, and what was once a one-person operation became a tight-knit team of journey designers, local fixers and former guides.
Today we craft private and small-group journeys to more than forty countries, but the philosophy hasn't changed: we believe travel should change the way you see the world, not just your Instagram feed. Every itinerary is built from scratch, layered with the kind of detail that comes from having actually walked the street, slept in the riad, and eaten the meal we're recommending.
We don't have a rulebook, but we do have a compass. These four ideas shape the way we plan, who we travel with, and the kind of experiences we put our name on.
We build in margin — extra nights in a single town, unscheduled afternoons, meals that last. The point of travel is presence, not coverage, and the best discoveries always live in the gaps between plans.
Every itinerary is co-built with people who actually live there — the cookbook author in Oaxaca, the ornithologist in the Camargue, the boatbuilder in Zanzibar. We pay them well, credit them by name, and bring you into their world.
From carbon-balanced flights to family-run lodges and overland routing, we design for the long view. We'd rather you return to a place five times than scorch through it once — and we build trips that make that possible.
No two journeys are alike. We start every project with a long conversation — your pace, your palate, the kind of souvenir you actually want to bring home — and we don't propose a route until we've earned it.
A small team of journey designers, writers, and former guides. Together we've logged more than 200 countries of combined travel, and we still get nervous before a big departure.
Former mountain guide turned itinerary obsessive. Elena leads our long-haul work in the Americas and the Caucasus, and still answers most enquiries herself.
Specialist in the Nordics, the Baltics, and the Silk Road. Tobias speaks six languages and has a quiet obsession with overnight trains, which he insists are the soul of slow travel.
From a decade of food writing in Tokyo to eight years in our Kyoto office. Saoirse designs our Japan, Vietnam and New Zealand journeys — and curates every restaurant recommendation on them.
Born in Dakar, based in Marrakech. Rashid built our West Africa programme from scratch and personally vets every guide, driver and lodge south of the Sahara.
Every journey starts with a conversation. Share a place, a feeling, a season — we'll take it from there and send back a first sketch within a week.
